Momo was a farm cat we adopted and so he is likely to want to live near a farm again. He was semi-feral when we got him and spent a lot of time under my bed when he first lived with us. After a few weeks he became very comfortable with our family, sitting comfortably on laps and sleeping on beds, but any strange sound would send him running for cover. He likely has reverted to his shy ways having lived on the street for three months, but he also likely sees people as a source of food. He likes cat treats, dry and wet cat food and might come to someone who offers him a can of cat food or some treats.

Possible sighting?
We are still looking for Momo, but we may have seen him in North Logan near the area where Junebug was found. Last night I saw an orange tabby in the Equestrian Park near the Eccles Ice Rink that looked a lot like Momo. He was the same size, color, and shape, but I could not see his stripes clearly enough to be sure. If anyone in the area sees an orange cat that looks like Momo, please send us a message.

Junebug has been found!!
Update!! Our female Siamese, Junebug, was found by a family in North Logan. She was a long way from home, but this gives us hope that we might find our male tabby, Momo. If any one in North Logan has seen an orange tabby, please let us know. Momo is very shy and unlikely to let people catch him unless he is lured in by food, but if you see an orange cat we would be happy to come and take a look. We want to express our deep gratitude to the family that found Junebug and found this ad. We were losing hope that either cat would ever be found, but now we have renewed hope. We plan to extend our search area to the outskirts of Logan and North Logan. |

Have you seen our pets?
Over the past month, our family has been devasted by the disappearance of two of our pets, Momo and Junebug.
Momo disappeared around April 30, 2010. He likes to go outside in the morning and at dusk to hunt the moles/voles(?) that are infesting our neighborhood. However, Momo and the rest of our cats have been trained to come back inside at around 10PM to get food so that we can keep them inside at night. Momo didn't come back on April 30 and by May 1 we knew something was wrong. We filed a report with Animal Control in Logan, and began searching our neighborhood for our cat.
We were still looking for Momo when Junebug disappeared. She is a very friendly cat and she likes to spend most of her day inside on the lap of one of her people. We still let her outside to help control the local pest problem, but on Saturday May 8 she disappeared too.
Now we don't know what to think. Momo is a cat that could wander far enough to get lost, but Junebug is not. We are afraid that maybe someone has been taking cats from our area, maybe thinking they were strays. However, since they did not end up in the Cache Humane Society's shelter, we are hoping that a kind person took them in.
If you have any information about the whereabouts of our pets, please leave us a message on this blog.
